I really like the way the application works, but there appears to be far less depth in the content than I expected. This experience got me curious about the opinions of others who have used Glossika. The most challenging part so far has been when sentences are really long and I have to type them several times.
For example, one of the very last sentences given to me was "When filling out forms, be sure to print your name in capital letters so it's legible." Difficulty is subjective, sure, but to me that seems more like a B1 or B2 kind of sentence. However, the actual sentences given at the highest level are not particularly challenging. Since my main purpose for using Glossika is drilling pronunciation and transcription, I don't mind resetting my progress and overlearning more "basic" content. The platform says it has no new sentences to give me, but I have under 50 in my collection at the moment. I have been studying in "full practice" mode with L1 text and audio turned off, only considering the rep valid if I understand 100% of the sentence and transcribe it correctly. building sentences from scratch Glossika isn’t a good match. So for language learners who want to have a more scientific understanding of the language i.e. Instead, you’ll start with beginner phrases. For one, Glossika does not start from 0, with basic vocabulary and grammar. MITRE maintains the CWE (Common Weakness Enumeration) web. I’m a big fan of Glossika, but not for everyone. The modules cover the full breadth and depth of topics for PCI Section 6.5 compliance and the items that are important for secure software development. Recently I started using Glossika to study Catalan, starting from zero except for passive comprehension that transfers from Spanish and French.
